THE PARLEY / PRIVACY

Curious, not intrusive.

Updated October 19, 2026. A short guide to what The Parley keeps, and what stays with your family.

When you browse

Exploring the listings does not require an account. Workshop drafts may be stored in your browser on this device. Earlier guest Vault plans can be imported after joining The Club; clearing browser data can erase old device-only records. Maps use approximate city locations; we do not ask for your live location.

Understanding our readership

We are preparing Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use The Parley, including visits, popular pages and broad acquisition sources. When active, Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers and receive technical and usage information such as browser, device, approximate location and pages visited. We keep administrative and private family account pages outside our intended audience measurement. These reports do not enroll you in marketing emails or publish family account details. You can limit cookies using your browser settings or Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.

When you join The Club

The Club is a free private family account for The Vault, The Passport and joining or suggesting meet-ups. We keep your account email and account membership record. The Dispatch is a separate, optional email list; if you consent to it, we record your address, the consent time and where you signed up. Email newsletters are not sending yet. Future Dispatch messages must include an unsubscribe link. You can request removal before then by emailing theparleyphx@gmail.com.

When you make a family account

Sign-in is handled by our website provider. Your account can hold private family outings, child explorer nicknames, visits and saved learning journals. Children do not need public profiles; parents and caregivers manage accounts. You may use nicknames and avoid sharing sensitive information in worksheet fields. Signing up for The Club does not subscribe you to The Dispatch.

When you contact us or join a meet-up

Contact and event-submission forms store the information you provide so we can review and respond. Meet-up proposals and requests to join require an adult Club account; meeting instructions, attendee information and safety reports are kept private from the general public. Meeting approvals are moderated, not identity verification.

Your choices

You can browse public listings without an account, delete local drafts using browser controls, and request access to or deletion of information associated with your email. Write to theparleyphx@gmail.com. We use the website hosting and authentication services needed to operate the app. We do not operate a paid membership, sell member contact lists, or automatically subscribe account holders to marketing.

This is a plain-language summary of current features. We will update it if our data practices or newsletter delivery change.
